The second of the ACTF’s monthly development rounds saw five new projects receive development funds.
These monthly rounds were instituted in response to the industry shutdowns due to COVID-19 as a way to stimulate future production of children’s projects.
The May development round saw a diverse group of producers and productions being supported to enter their next stage of development. Projects included high-end pre-school and primary school age drama and a VR project.
The ACTF committed $79,131 in development investment this round, spread across:
- Epic Films, SA
Towards a live-action series.
- Happening Films, VIC
Towards an adaptation for a 10 x 10 minute VR series.
- Billy Anchor Productions, VIC
For a high-concept live-action series.
- Beyond Entertainment, NSW
Towards the development of an animation series.
- Epic Films, SA
For development of a pre-teen live-action series.
We look forward to seeing these projects and others supported by the ACTF develop in the second half of 2020.
The next ACTF development round closes on 22nd June 2020.
